My Kit

I adore my kit!
It has changed with me as I have grown as an artist, explored different brands, learnt what works for me and found my firm favourites.
I take pride in my set up and pristine kit, it helps to reflect the respect I have for the art, as well as the time, money and personal investment I have made.
Although I have no doubt it will be constantly evolving, I am very happy with its current layout.
I am obsessed with Superstar paints, and you can see I have a beautiful rainbow of their 16g pans. I have mostly shimmer paints as I love how they blend into the skin and they offer an extra touch of sparkle.

I am beginning to move away from rainbow cakes, I load my sponge with whatever colours the person sat in my chair chooses; making each design personal to each individual. That being said, I always keep a rainbow, and a couple of others I love; usually a pink/purple mix, and blues/greens for ease.

I was beginning to move away from one-strokes and focus on my line work. I looped back to one strokes when I was made a product rep for Facepainting Hub (LUCYPAINT10 for 10% off all paints). This encouraged me to work more with one strokes, and I feel like I have reached a happy medium.
All my one strokes are Facepainting Hub, with the exception of Lodie Up's Pastel Rainbow (by Fusion) and Natalie Davis' Tigress (also by Fusion)
Most of my original brushes have been retired, I have trialed new ones in their place but some favourites stay and get replaced in due course. I tend to lean more towards flat brushes for one strokes, although angles absolutely have their place, so feature in my kit too. I have multiple round and liner brushes for teardrops and swirls, and super fine brushes for character's faces and delicate details, which I like to add to most of my designs. I have a selection of filberts in varying sizes, they are great for covering large spaces at a time, so I often use for infilling, and the smallest I use for face details.
The majority of my brushes are Facepainting Hub, Essentials by Samantha Helen and Aliyah.
I am extremely lucky to have been gifted most of my current brushes, through sponsorship, and competition wins.
